Advice: When Disbarred, Stop Practicing Law
October 2nd, 2009
Allen Feingold, from Philadelphia, teaches us a valuable lesson about the practice of law. Once you are no longer an attorney, it is advisable to stop practicing law.
After five-years worth of suspensions and an eventual disbarment in August 2008, Allen Feingold was still refusing to comply with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s order as he continued to practice law and failed to notify clients of his disbarment, according to orders in the case.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel had to lock Feingold out of his Philadelphia law office, where he was using another lawyer’s letterhead and ID number to continue his practice. Really Mr. Feingold? Really?

1st Draft Movie Lines…and the Much Better End Result
July 17th, 2009
Last week on Twitter, people started posting potential first drafts of classic movie lines. Of course some of these are horrible. But some I enjoyed quite a bit, so I’ve included those as well as their superior end product. Enjoy!

Makes Me Feel Less Nerdy
July 3rd, 2009
I feel less nerdy seeing that the below Courtoon is based on reality, since I didn’t do it. However, the fact that I laughed out loud about it keeps me firmly rooted amongst the legal nerds of my time.

Oral Arguments
July 1st, 2009
I don’t really remember the appellate advocacy portion of my first year legal writing class. I vaguely remember being nervous, and sort of remember the case, but that’s it. However, I can recall with vivid accuracy my fake oral argument in front of Judge Michael Fisher of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals this past Fall. That was quite intimidating. It is with that memory in mind that I share this little cartoon by Huma Rashid, fellow law student.
