There was no topic this past week on “Top 10×4″ so I decided to make my own.  Below are the best moments from the 2008 campaign. I avoided campaign commercials and big speeches, trying to stick to the nitty gritty serious topics.  I also kept explanations short, because the clips tend to speak for themselves. Enjoy!

10. Western Pennsylvania
This clip made the list for a few reasons. First of all, it is about Western Pennsylvania, so I enjoy that. Secondly, it makes fun of John Murtha, which I find pretty funny. It’s at number 10 because it isn’t that funny. Still worth watching though, so enjoy!

9. Obama Girl
This is the original “Obama Girl” video. It was released way back in 2007, and Obama Girl grew into an internet sensation. The video has well over ten million views on Youtube! Even if the video wasn’t cool, ten million views makes it worthy of this list.

8. Sexism
Some contend that during the primary, sexism played a role in the campaign, led by the media. Senator Clinton and Governor Palin came together to denounce such tactics.

7. Bias
During the primary campaign, there were allegations from the Clinton campaign that the press practically went down on favored Senator Obama. Here is an excerpt showing that the press was perfectly neutral.

6. Unwanted Supporters
Early in the Democratic primary, there were rumors of Senator Obama holding secret meetings with big-name supporters. Finally, the footage of those meetings is uncovered.

5. Unwanted Endorsement
Late in the campaign, Senator John McCain finally got the endorsement from President George W. Bush, in order to solidify his lead over Senator Obama in the final weeks of the campaign.

4. Bias 2
These just keep on coming.

3. Not Going to Change
While Obama has pledged to change the country, the one thing he has always said is that he won’t change who he is, because he has no secrets. Even on Halloween.

2. Joe the Plumber
In the final debate, John McCain unveiled a key part of his campaign strategy: Joe the Plumber.

1. Taking it in Stride
One sign of a good leader and a good person is being able to laugh at yourself. At the Al Smith dinner, both candidates did this well. It is great to know that whomever the next leader of the United States is, they can make me laugh. And that’s what I’m looking for in a Commander-in-Chief!!

Honorable Mention: My Cameo
After a reminder from Dan, I’ve included what is a very honorable mention. When Senator Obama came to Pittsburgh, none other than yours truly was sitting immediately behind him. In this video, I’m the cute guy with the goatee over Senator Obama’s right shoulder.
